07. Computer Controlled machining
I decided to make a chess table & two stools. First I prepared the rough sketch of my design on paper. As I am still learning the solidworks I decided to keep my design simple
First I designed two parts for table namely "table top" & "table leg" asshown below:
Then I prepared assembly from these parts. Here is the final table assembly..

Here I created a plate of 5 feet x 5 feet and then put all parts on this plate Using this method we can create layouts in solidworks assembly
In solidworks, we cannot export assembly directly into dxf file. However, it is possible in part mode.
Hence I have created Drawing file (.SLDDRW) then exported it to dxf from drawing file.

We used a canadian make router with following Specs:
Then, I received all the cut parts..
As shown below, cut edges were not sharp. So first, I polished all the cut-edges using a wood polishing machine.
Here is the result of polishing...
After this, I assembled all the parts. Here is the Hero shot of assembled chess table & stools...
