As a regular user of design software it has not been difficult to learn these new softwares. The fact that these sofwares are free is very important since the information can be shared without costs for those interested. In the case of solid works it is different. It is a very complete and versatile software which is used in different design ambits such as universities and design companies. Solid works has a cost but can be obtained.....

I need to represent the concept of an object. I downloaded an image of Internet to use it. I don't need the whole picture so I cut the image

Then I imported the image into inkscape and use the tool to convert it in to a Vector Graphic.

I used Inkscape to make some explanatory diagrams of the functioning of structured light scanner

Using Solid Works

My first drawing with Solid Works. I chose this software for all possibilities offered considering my particular needs. A lot of thing to learn!

After some practice and help from my colleagues I started to draw parts of the final project to print and test its functionality
