QUESTIONS

1. WHAT IS THE DEADLINE? HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE LEFT?

Deadline will be on June, the 28th. I have not so much time to make my final project exactly I was imaging. Anyway I succeed to reach a good point.

2. WHAT TASKS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND WHAT TASKS REMAIN?

I have succeeded to produce the machine and the shading system. I have faced a lot of problems regarding the friction of the rotating gears, but I figured out the issue. I still need to create the algorithm and elcetronics and make everything moving smoothly.

3. HOW WILL I COMPLETE THE REMAINING TASKS IN TIME?

I will try to not be perfectionist. I will work in order to obtain a competed and working machine, then, if i will have time, I will improve some parts.

4. WHAT HAS WORKED, WHAT HASN'T?

Almost everything, but I needed a lot of time to correct everypart. For example I had to sand 3d printed gears to get the lowest friction possible and do a lot of tests to understand the behaviour of the machine.

5. WHAT QUESTIONS STILL NEED TO BE RESOLVED?

Programming! I understood that it is not so easy to get sunrays vectors and, depending on location, obtains a certain value of rotation. Moreover, all 3 Hc-Sr04 generate 3 different variable that interrupt the sun-following behaviour and create a new arrangment of the machine. I still have to study correctly that. I am starting to work on some simulation in Grasshopper.

6. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED?

So many things. Beyond digital fabrication, I understood that a good correct time plan is crucial. I also learned that unexpected issues are to be taken in consideration everytime.
