Exploring the limits of the Ultimaker 2+

For this week's group assignment, we downloaded a test file from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:704409 to test the limits of our 3d printer Ultimaker 2+.

The first step was to export the files as .stl and import it into Cura

We included the following settings :

 

Layer height = 0.15 mm

Wall thickness = 0.7mm

Infill density = 33 %

Print Speed = 45 mm/s

Travel speed = 150 mm/s

After the settings were done, we loaded the file on Ultimaker 2+ and started the printing process. Following are some images of the same.

Once the print was ready, we measured the dimensions of the printed object and made the following observations :
