Gantt Chart

Preface

The Fab Academy is a wonderful opportunity, but as one of my instructor said, it could easily transform in a bloodbath, if one could not organize and plan carefully the assignments, the lectures and the final project. So, a bit worried for a tragic outcome I decided to confide in an easy way to track my time and my goals: Gantt Charts

Gantt chart is a type of bar chart that illustrates a project schedule, defining the start and finish dates of the terminal and summary elements of a project. Terminal and summary elements comprise the work breakdown structure of the project, along with dependency relationships between activities.

But according to me, the most useful feature is that it can be used to show current schedule status using percent-complete shadings and a vertical today line as marker.

After trying a couple of free tools, such as GanttProject and ProjectSheet for Google Sheets, I thought it could be nice and useful to have the chart always available to be consulted on the website. So I choose DhtmlxGantt, a free JavaScript and CSS component, easely embeddable in web page.
