Exercise 2. Computer-aided Design

Labwork: Fusion 360

I decided to learn a full-featured CAD program. I chose Autodesk Fusion 360 because It is powerful, cloud-based (students and I can work at school and home), and free to schools and students. I wanted to take the opportunity to teach my students Fusion 360 and how to use a CNC machine (Shopbot). I discovered that creating dimeensions and contraights is more of art than a science. I need to speak to Dr.Fagan about this. We all stuggled with extruding to create seperate and distinct bodies. I have more details listed in muy journal and co-created (with Tom Detoy) presentaton slides that documented the process and can be used by others in the classroom. Click here for slides
