The first idea was to develop a smartphone or tablet application to maneuver the arm, but most of the targeted population will not have the ability to use it because of physical or mental difficulties. The first option of development will be the use of a joystick, easier to manipulate for a broader scope of the targeted audience. It is of utmost importance to increase accessibility of the interface in order to maintain the maximum of autonomy of the user. The smartphone/tablet application will be developed in a later stage. The devise will be composed of an hydraulic arm on a four leg base with four braked wheels. The design will enable the hydraulic arm to move or to be moved easily in a room. It will be foldable and its size will not exceed a normal door. An easy security locking karabiner will hold the blanket carrying the user. The hydraulic system will use vegetal oil to limit risks. Arduino will be used for the development of the hydraulic arm. The advantage is his price and easy use.
