I will start by trying the energy harvesting project.

I rummaged in the Fabacademy archives for inspiration and in order to avoid redesigning the wheel. I saw several final projects related to energy harvesting:
One sole generator,
one thermoelectric generator, and
a wind generator.

So I will go for another source of energy: electromagnetism and/or piezoelectricity. I want my generator to be interactive so I was considering inserting it in the floor.

My commercial inspirations are Pavegen's pavements and Energy Floors
