Mechanical Design

In this week we design a paint/wall bot mechanism.Which is paint verticle wall.In this assignment, we are three working members.We distrubuted work by specific branches like I am good in mechanical design so I use to my efforts on part design and other one will take electronic parts.Its like group study when they have any design problems then I am the person who clear out, and when I found any difficulty in electronics then they will help me.Actually this coordination is important during team work.It really feels like power of unity.Its good experience for me.!!

When we decide that we will work on wall bot then we understand all mechanisms related that design like what is pantograph mechanism and how it works.

This is another mechanism which will helps to distrubute the weight.This will helps us to distrubute the weight of our machine.

We will plan to use servo motor and stepper motor for movement of extruder.We will work on core X-Y mechanism.

We are just trying to understand the core X-Y mechanism by giving manual movement. For designing this machine we will use Solid works software. .After making this small machine(which barely works) we realised that our task is going to be daunting, we havent even started with electronics that seems to be the biggest worry !!

Now we moved to the actual wallBot, we did a basic design of the mounts and penholder.

We found a lot of flaws in the machine, the size of the canvas is limited by the number of screws that fix to the motor mount. Thus we modifid the motor mount a bit.
