Grey water retreatment.
Background of project:
In our campus that is Vigyan Ashram ,approximate 60 students stays. We use approximate 100 liters water per day per person. Being drought prone region, every water drop is precious for us. My project is to develop a grey water treatment system for our hostel.
Ideas:
I want to use the grey water for following purpose:-
i) Growing plants
ii) Flush for toilet
My plan is:
I am planning to use following two methods for grey water retreatment: i) Aeration ii) Biological process.
I am going to make following:- i) Grey water Aeration system using solar energy.
The perpose to mount wheel for aeration is , when we rorate the wheel with grey water. It will helps to desolve maximum amount of oxygen inside the grey water
And it will reduce odour of the same.And second one is, ii) System to grow plants by providing
light at the bottom of grey water tank.When small plants like algue grows in that water, it helps to increase the oxygen level inside the grey water.
This will work by using solar panel and LED lights. In short my project is-
