A project to make a DIY stepper driver for use in the DIY CNC

satstep6600 features: 
5A peak output current, 4.5A sustained maximum (over 2A a fan is recommended)
8-40V input voltage
1/1, 1/2A(0-71-100%), 1/2B(0-100%), 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 stepping modes
suitable for NEMA 17, NEMA 23 and some NEMA 34 stepper motors
thermal shut down protection
under voltage lock out protection
over-current detection protection
optoisolated for all the inputs
it costs 13 euro

My note: The license in NoCommercial, this is a problem.


Ordered farnell components for 10x boards, to ink mva kr 812,48, ex mva kr 649,98 NOK

Total cost about 1000 NOK 

The 0.01uF capacitors were delayed til August so I had to source them differently.

    Found that we have 10 of per student! That should be enought, but I also placed an order for 100 extra.
    


Thoughts:
Mill own cooler for driver, make 4 x driver at once? Modular might be better actually
Read up on what the world state is, reprap, fab, master-rapporten in bookmarks and in general
