Project Development

This is the last week in fabacademy 2017 and all assignments almost finished.
The main goal from now is to plan to finish my final project in the specified time before the presentation of final projects.

The deadline of final project

The deadline of my final project is 14-6-2017 at 9:05:00 EDT so I should finish final project ,slide and video showing the instrument working before this time.

What I should do in this week

• Evaluate the project plan

• Summarize and communicate the essence of a project

What tasks have been completed

• Buying electronic component.
  
• Buying acrylic sheets and cut it in (60 * 40 cm).
  
• Buying laser beams.
  
• Testing the vinyl cutter to be sure it working.
  
• Initial kit of the design of the frame.
  
• Designing the circuit board.
  
• Programming the micro controller.
  
• Cutting the circuit board
  
• Making the 3D design of the holder.
  
• Making the final kit of the frame
  
• cutting the final design with the laser machine

Tasks need to be completed

• Designing the logo
  
• Cut the logo with vinyl
  
• Assembling the parts
• Making the board to distribute power to all laser beams
  
• Soldering the circuit board
• Making the slide
  
• Making the video

How I will complete on time

For this to be completed, I have managed to complete it on time as I have an idea about each part I will do so I will not find any problems to complete it in time.
I also make schedule for each part.
AS my final project presentation is in 14-6-2017 I put schedule for making my final project
- 14-6-2017 reviewing all steps I made before and preparing for the presentation.
- 13-6-2017 making the slide and video of the final project.
- 12-6-2017 I will put the logo and I will make the final assembling of the instrument.
- 11-6-2017 uploading the code to the board and start debugging all issues, designing the distribution power board , soldering it and check if it have any errors.
- 10-6-2017 Designing the holder of the instrument using fusion-360 and start printing it.

What has worked

• Till now I test the design of the frame and it seem to be ok.
  
• Using chloroform is good idea for sticking the acrylic parts to each other
  
• The final frame look very strong as it consist of three layers of 3mm acrylic.
  
• Testing the ldr using arduino and it work well.
  
• Getting tones of the piezzo buzzer, till now the tones are not good.
  
• The design of the board is ok and it seems that there is no issues on it.
  
• Simulation of the 3D printed part.

What has not worked

The only thing that I think it will not work well is the piezzo buzzer I bought as the tones came from it is not clear.
Try to find another piezzo buzzer type.

What questions need to be resolved

I think I have all inflammations to let me achieve my project, but the thing I need to resolve is how to make this instrument working in the sun.
The second thing need to be resolved is how to generate clear tones from the piezzo buzzer

What have I learned

During making my final project I will learn many skills like 3D printing which I will use it in making the holder of the instrument, I will also use 2D design skills for making the frame and also to make design of my logo.
The important skill I will use is the programming that I will use it in programming the board as ldr need analog to digital converter so I should learn how to use analog to digital converter to control the piezzo using the values of ldr.
