Introduction
For this week assignment I had to choose the license for my works.COMMON CREATIVE
In this week I needed to learn how the license and patent thing works to decide how I will use for my projects.
I have decided to read something about Common Creative License. CC is a non-profit organization who want expand the range of creative works available for others. It is a flexible license. It licenses allow creators to communicate which rights they reserve, and which rights they waive for the benefit of recipients or other creators. They have a very clear picture who explain you the different type of CC license.
As you can see in the picture depending on the license that you choose there are different types of permissions. One of the most interesting thing is that you can modify your licese when you desire. A lot famous sites like Wikipedia and Flickr use this license. I decide to use it.
Pressing "Get Started" button, you are redirected in a page where you can decided the terms of your license by answering at two simply question.
With the first one allow other people to share adaptations of your work. I decided that it can be share in the same way I shared my original project. The second question ask me if I want to permit the commercial use of my project and I decide to allowed it. The icons above are a preview of my license.
To add the license on my site, I had to incorporate the code in all the site pages.
GNU LICENSE
I've read something about this license, but it won't suit me because it is most suitable for the software. The GNU General Public Licenses are intended to guarantee your freedom to share and change free software, to make sure the software is free for all its users. In this case I think that it isn't useful for my Fab Academy project, because I have developed other kind of project, not softwares.
INCOME
Everything I've done during this months was for the community. I've a lot to learn, they are all "work in progress" project, so if someone, in the future, will want to work on, are free to do it. In the future I would like to do more project and using this license allowed me to developed it quickly. If I will have some problem I'm sure that someone in the world could fix it. I think that this is the right way to change world! Computer was not created by a person, but by a group of people who share ideas and developed it over time.
