Objective

Propose a final project that integrates the range of units covered, answering:

What will it do?

My final project is a medical car that is going to carry blood samples from intensive care to the analysis lab and then return with the results (reports)
Due the quantity of patients, the number of staff members is not enought to pick up and take the samples to the lab. That causes people to lose time getting back the results

Who has done it before?

Main manufacturers of medical equipment have made cars to transport big volumes of samples.
My project is a line follower car that transports 6 blood samples.
For example: Complanies that sells instruments and equipments to medical labs.
Companies that sells veriying equipments to check parked cars

What materials and componentes will be required?

I will mainly need electronic components (microcontrollers, bateries, connectors).
I will also need the CNC miller, the laser cuter for the external part and divisions, the 3D printer for the wheels.
Also I'm using plywood, acrilic, resin, and silicone. On mechanical parts, I will need to motors, and also basic fixing elements, as screws, nuts, washers, etc.

Where will they come from?

Most of them are imported from USA, but here in Lima - Peru there is a street where many electronic components are sold. It is called Paruro.

How much will it cost?

Many materials for the medical car are on Fablab Tecsup, and the others were fabricated on assignments, like the Fabduino and also I bought some of them, the total cost is about 80 dollars.

What parts and systems will be done?

For my project I made the Fabduino with the assignments learned in the course.
I used the following machines:
- Laser cutter for lateral and divisions - Acrilic
- CNC miller for the base and the top of the medical car - Plywood, MDF
- 3D printer for the wheels rims
- Urethane for the wheels
- Vynil cutter for logos

What assignments need to be completed?

Do the tests on the blood sample transporter car. Do the video and to appoint the maintenance frequency. Especially the batery charge and cleaning frequency.

What quiestions need to be answered

The transporter car is steady?
Do the electronic boards communicate with each other?

What is the schedule?

For the next 2 weeks, ill work on the medical cart structure and the electronic components installing. I will also finish the application for communicating all the devices, and the motors. Finally, I will do the function test.

How it will be evaluated?

My objective is to fabricate the medical car to transport blood samples to work perfectly. To evaluate myself I have many parameters:
1st: The structure is steady: YES
2nd: It performs the activity it was made for: YES
3rd: It has the protection measures to avoid hitting the patients: YES
4th: The control is easy for the staff: EASY
5th: Is it easy to charge the battery?: YES
6th: You can do modifications on time: YES
