What will it do? It utilizes energy from a hot motor and keep warm passenger compartment of a car.
Who has
done what beforehand? Some car makers as like
Mercedes call it REST the Residual engine heat utilization
mode.
What materials and components will be
required? Two control boards, one for user
interface and one for machine interface, relay and a water
circulation pump. Detailed list of materials and components
follows.
Where
will they come from? Most of materials and
components I find from fablab Oulu. I buy the pump.
How much will it cost? The pump costs about 100 euros other things about 10-20 euros.
What parts and systems will be made? Control boards and housings.
What
processes will be used? 3D printing, laser
engraving and cutting, CNC milling, electronics producing and
programming.
What
tasks need to be completed? Make of one
control board, final programming, design and producing of
housings and assembly of all together.
What
questions need to be answered? How it works,
what is the energy consuming, how accurate it is?
What is
the schedule? Estimated schedule might be
following: make of control board takes one week, final
programming one week, design, producing of housing and
assembly one week.
How will it be evaluated? Evaluation criterias are beautiful design, easy use, safe operation and usefulness.
