I am planning to implement an android app based project that makes
use of solar energy as power source.
And also I have wish that it addresses some real-life related issue.
But where is the idea?
One idea I have at present is not convincing enough for our
instructor as a digital fabrication work which makes use of the
FabLab resources and also within the limits of it!
Hence I am looking for new ideas.
Anyway the present idea is explained here.
(1) Moving Water Pump: Just a different idea. That's all. No tall claim.
A moving motor push the water upward through the right pipe and left
pipe alternatively to the small tank, from where water moves to a
larger tank or to supply chain.
Water reaches the pipe through the pores on the bottom side. Challenges:
Providing power to the motor which is moving through the pipe.
Ensuring water tight packaging for the motor. Controlling the speed
and boundaries of the motor pack - for which we have the opportunity
to use digital electronics.
Ensuring smooth flow of the motor-pack.
(2)FabMonkey! (Fruit plucker)
I am grabbing something similar to the idea which the
instructor explained in his page. In short, I am planning for
an app-based mango plucker - FabMonkey!
When placed on the tree, with the help of the instruction from the
app, the monkey climbs the tree, and plucks the mangoes one by one
with full control of the app.
The draft model of the FabMonkey.
It has a trunk, no tail!
The trunk, the legs and hands could be pulled inside the
shell, when required, for a smooth motion of the
monkey.
