Have spent some 5 years in industry and some 20+ as faculty. So much years of 'experience"?! But, what way it could be useful in FabAcademy or is a burden is quite subjective! Graduated from Government Engineering College Thrissur in 1989, and took PG from NIT Calicut in 2005. Usually teaching subjects with more discrete mathematical nature, like discrete computational structures, algorithms, automata theory, graph theory etc. Have interest in computer networking as well. Previously Unix, and now Linux is my working environment. And usually, encourages the students to do their projects in FOSS environments. Likes to play two extreme games also! Chess and Football!! Chess, there are plenty of people online, if you have time! Football no space and not many willing and interested around me! |
| Why am I here? That is a question I have to answer myself! As, mentioned above I am basically of chess and football mixture! I have enough opportunities for the first kind of things at my workplace. But, I want to add a little of the later in my work and thereby encourage and involve more with students in creative areas rather than mere software based and intelligence based works. Also, I am originated or may be wandered away from the semi-rural-urban agrarian environment of the Kerala village. In short, the track I am pursuing now in the field of computers was not my natural track! I still long to live in that semi-rural surroundings!! Alas.... But, till time I don't think, I have given back anything meaningfully to that community. Before expiry(!), I would like to return some useful contribution to my society by making use of my exposure to the technology. Her, I see, I have an opportunity to horn my skills in that direction! And also there is another reason. Some one bio-related to me is already in this FABulous environment!! |
