1. USING THE EPILOG LASER CUTTER

I was in charge of the design of the turntable. I drew the pieces in AutoCad and make them in 3mm mdf.

I used the laser cutter because, being pieces of 30cm in diameter, it was much faster and easier. You have to optimize the use of materials and machines according to what you want to do.

The turntable is composed of two parts and each one has a thickness of 9mm, which means 3 pieces of mdf 3mm thick. Each disc has different accessories depending on the function.

The pieces are then glued using heavy duty glue.

One of the circular bases is fixed at the base of the machine and the other is the one that rotated with the motor.

Between each plate I placed 03 wheels that will keep them level and help to make it easier to turn.

2. 3D PRINTING IN THE MAKERBOT

As seen in the previous photos each circular base carries some accessories. These were designed in AutoCad, 3d was made in inventor and measurements were taken with a vernier. It is better to use a vernier than a ruler because it gives you precision of up to 3 decimals.

This is the bottom base piece. It is T-shaped, it is fixed below and in the part that protrudes to the next base.

So it looks below.

We printed the pieces in Felix 2.0 but they did not turn out well, the material came out half moved by what worked on the Makerbot and came out very well.

Here is the impression process of the Makerbot.

This is the next circular base piece. I did the design on AutoCad and Victor the gear in Inventor.

This is how it finally comes together. Place a wheel in the center (press-fit) to take advantage of the run-in and make the part rotate more easily.

This is seen on the back. The piece comes in very tight so it does not come out.

Cleaning the printed parts in 3d can be a little annoying, so use the Dremel to complete the task faster.

The Dremel has interchangeable tips and one of them is used for sanding. The great thing about the Dremel is that you can control the speed of rotation.

We modified the T piece because it came out badly printed and broke easily. The second version was modified in height and incorporated a round base so that the shoots do not touch the piece.

This is thus placed on the circular base # 1.

3. WEB DESIGN (ADOBE MUSE)

I work the file in Adobe Muse because I feel much secure to use it and is very flexible in terms of design.

Set up a tentative index to organize information on the machine.

I decided that it was necessary to place the members and the tasks they performed. This work allowed us to know more and combine all our skills, was a great challenge.

4. VIDEO EDITION (ADOBE PREMIERE PRO)

For video use IMovie Mac, it is very simple to use.

For editing videos use Adobe Premier, it is complex to use and I recommend watching tutorials.2

5. SUMMARY SLIDE (ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR)

For the summary slide I used Adobe Illustrator. Both Adobe Muse and Adobe Illustrator learned them to use in the assignment of week 2.
