LASER CUTTER SETTINGS

To cut in the Epilog Laser Cutter we use the program CorelDraw to load the file in extension .dxf or .dwg

Once the file is loaded, go to the FILE / PRINT menu and a box like the one we see will appear.

Click on the blue PREFERENCES button to change the printing settings.

The program of the laser cutter "EPILOG ENGRAVER" opens.

Here you have to change certain parameters. Click on AutoFocus. Change the paper size (in our case 600 x 300 which is the size of the cut area) In the "Vector Setting" part Speed, Power and Frequency change depending on the material. In the box below you can see the settings used for the materials we tested. Click OK.

We return to the initial view with the difference that our file is already full on the right side.

These are the settings that you use for the different tests that you perform in laser cutter. Settings for speed, power and frequency that vary depending on the material you are going to use.

VINYL CUTTER SETTINGS

The first thing to do is open the terminal from the Linux operating system.

Next is to place sudo fab, then write the password. With this we enter the FabModules as shown on the screen.

As the vinyl cutter works with an image the first thing to do is choose in "input format" image (.png)

Click "load.png" to choose the image you are going to cut in vynil.

Then click on make path to see the route that will make the machine to cut the vynil.

Force (g) set 120 Velocity (cm / 2) set 5

Finally click on make.camm and then on send it!

All these steps are registered in the Terminal.
