Computer-Controlled Cutting

Parametric, Press-Fit, Laser-Cut Frames

Give my interest in the arts, I chose to experiment with custom picture frames that can change shape and size parametrically based on the specs of the material and the size of the image it is displaying.

I used Autodesk Fusion 360 to develop the 3D frame model and instituted parameters for variable length, width and thickness.

I exported the .dxf file and edited the sketch using Illustrator and Photoshop.

Vinyl Review

This week, I created vinyl decals using Roland CutStudio. I traced the contours of a feather shape and printed my initials with the force of 120 gf.
