Designing a 3D mold

I designed one random surface having curves in rhino and decided to make composite of that shape.

Milling Styrofoam

Entire Setup required for the vaccum bagging composites

Making Composite

First, I applied grease on the milled styrofoam

Then, I applied resin on the fabric

After that, we made layering --- release fabric >fabric >release fabric >breather material

This is the vaccum bagging setup which we have in our Lab.

Once the layering is done, I clamped the composite under vaccum bag.
