Week Four.
Electronic Production.
Electronic Production.
This is the 4th week of Fab academy and I haven't been this excited since I found the artist Travis Scott lol. This week the focus was on building our own circut board from scratch. The class started with Shawn teaching us how to use the Milling machine and printing the FabISP board, then we proceeded to stuff it with compnents and program it. Shawn told us to save it after we're done beause we will be using these programmers through the semester to program the other boards we create.
This is call FabISP, is a in-system programmer for AVR microcontrollers, designed for production within a FabLab. It allows you to program other boards you make.
That's what the FabISP looks after we print it using the Milling machine
This is the list of all parts we used to stuffed the board 1 ATTiny 44 microcontroller, 1 Capacitor 1uF, 2 Capacitor 10 pF, 2 Resistor 100 ohm, 1 Resistor 499 ohm, 1 Resistor 1K ohm, 1 Resistor 10K, one 6 pin header, 1 USB connector, 2 jumpers - 0 ohm resistors, 1 Crystal 20MHz, two Zener Diode 3.3 V, one usb mini cable, one ribbon cable, two 6 pin connectors,
Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to program the board and more likely i'm going to have to redo it again, if you see the picture my soldering skills are horrible, there are components that are connected and is not smooth, to my defense this is my first time ever soldering, I will update the page with a new one.
