Intro to Principals and Practices.
My name is Jose David Tovar, I'm a senior enrolled at The Metropolitan Reginal Career and Technical Center or The Met for short. Next year I hope to attend a College or University to study Electrical engineering and Computer Science. I was born in Colombia in March 23, 1999 and I moved to the United States in the Summer of 2009. The reason I'm taking Fab Academy is because over the years I've grown a passion for developing, using the technology that fab lab offers.
For my final project I want to design and build a anamatronic hand that is controlled by a wireless glove, so basically it mimics my hand movements. I've done some research online, for examples a few youtube videos on anamatronic hands and a few tutorials in "instructables.com", I have a basic understanding of how it works. I want this project to be 100% original so 3D printing the hands, figuring out the code, figuring out how I could transfer the information from the glove to the hand. It's a challanging project for me, I'm excited for this project.
This is what the project looks in my head. The plan is to 3D print the palm and fingers, Laser cut the box and give it a puzzle look, build an arduno and code it. Find a glove figure out how I can transmit the information that the glove gives to hand recieving it. Also finding "power" could be challenging.
