3D scanning & Printing it is amazing because you can create something in a software and digitalized for making a 3D real object when you printing, in my FabLab I work with MakerBot Digitizer Scanner and a Delta, Z18, Dimension 1200sst printers and we also try with the Kinnect from XBox to scann.
3D Scanning
I have to calibrate the scanner, then I tried to control the quantity of ligth and the started to scannig, so many objects I have experimented with the scanner but I choosed an archeology object.
Setting the scanner and printer
There are different type of scanners and printers every aplication depends of the size and the definition of the scanner, for example 3D MakerBot Scanner it is very precise but just for small objects but Kinect from XBox its for objects bigger but it has a low precision and it the same way with the 3D printers.

from an original object, the scale was changed because the time of the printer machine to make it possible, the material used was PLA, so it is a plastic that works good with 3D printersa and it is cheap.

So many differents kind of software I used to create a 3D object like Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD but the the Meshmixer, Skanect for improving the numbers of nodes in the mesh

FabLab Yachay
At the moment that I was taking the FabAcademy program, I was the FabManager in Yachay, so it is a very interesting experience. In year 2016 it is the first time that we are taking the FAB program so it is time to enjoy it!
