ASSIGNMENT:
1.) Create and document a license for your final project. Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project.
The helmet I'm developing as a final project is an idea I've had some time ago, coinciding with the Fab Academy 2016 took the opportunity to test the concept of operation of the helmet with the resources available in a Fab Lab, in my case the Fab Lab TECSUP.
If there are people interested in my project I want to share everything I could develop during the Fab Academy for the idea continues to be developed collaboratively and someday to become a final product.
Initially I was considering the option of using the MIT license as it conformed to the intellectual property needs of my project. Reading and researching a little more, I finally chose to use Creative Common License Py because it has a more open format is a global license, which also applies to my country, Paraguay, where I rebroadcast and show the projects I've done in Fab cademy 2016.
This license lets others remix, modify and develop about work even for commercial purposes, provided that you attribute the credit and license their new works under identical terms. This license is tiny compared to the licenses "copyleft" and "open source" software. Any new work based on yours, it will be under the same license, so any derivatives will also allow commercial use.
I decided not to restrict the commercial use of this project because the idea need to be more developing, so to continue investing money necessary research and testing of the next prototype.
My intention is that this project evolves collaboratively by interested persons arround the world.
Because I'm in a School of Industrial Design, I would also like to share the experience of this project with students of the School, giving them access to all my files through my personal website of the Fab Academy 2016 where students can further develop this project if they wanted to take it as an educational project within any course of the school race.
I'm currently taking this course in FAB LAB TECSUP, in Lima-Perú, through CIDI FADA UNA with the support of CONACYT and PARQUE TECNOLOGICO ITAIPU FOUNDATION
