Final Project result

What has been done

I did the box using 2D router, the box have a circule hole, 2 retangular 3mm slot, the side and bottom I half cut the wood. There are one sensor and led strip. There are some 3D printed object, molding and casting part inside act like a display. There are 3D printed backet for the sensor.

What is there to do

The circule hole is for me to put the power cable inside, the power cable I use normal charging cable, cut away the head then solder the wire.
The 2 retangular 3mm slot at the front and back is for me to put the acrylic inside and the side and bottom half cut is to stable the acrylic so that it wont move around.The acrylic I have laser / vinyl design on it. The sensor and LED strip is for people walk nearby then the lights up. The 3D printed backet is for the sensor to make it more cool. The display inside is show how it look like if you put something inside.

What problem I facing.

The material I can use is limited so I need to plan very carefully. The design look simple, but is not easy for me as I am first time to do 3D drawing. The software part of the project make me crazy, there are problem like pcb cant mill correctly due to mill bits not sharp and platform uneven , component was damaged when bought, unable to withdraw more component due to component is too expensive that instructor refuse to give me, short circuit due to poor milling and poor soldering skill, code not working due to inexperience of programming skill, Manual and datasheet are too many information for me to study and I cant identify which one I need.

What improvement can make in the future

I think can improve the shape of the box, make be become circule. I think can add it solar power and battery so that the solar panel can charge to the battery and provide power to the display cabinet. I also think that the backgroud instead of acrylic, can replace to a led screen so that we can progarm to different theme.
