Final Project Process

Design

First I use Inventor to draw out my design for routing. I decided to use 1/2" plywood as the structure and use the 2D router to route it. The reason of useing 1/2" plywood is more firm so that the structure is not east to break. However the front need to be transparent so that we can see what is it inside, so I decided to choose 3mm clear acrylic as the front cover. The back cover can be use of wood or acrylic but it should not be too thick as we may keep taking in and out for this.




The plywood for the cabinet it look very boring so I decided to laser engrave something on it. I engrave a fablab SP logo and a QR code that link to my page. On the other side I engrave a school photo on it.




Then I laser cut the acrylic for the front and back also.


Electronics

I decided to use ATtiny 85 as my processor. Distance sensor as my input and LED strip as my output.




Program it

I use arduino as ISP to program my ATtiny 85. The sensor part I tested it at the week for Input device.
