My project consists of three main parts: input data, database and matching procedure, output data.
In order to introduce the data, I want to design an interactive survey. I survey you can answer with your hands, instead of writing.
Therefore, I want to use a box to answer socio-economic questions. And I want also to use a wall, that has big circles that when they put them over an option it will choose that option. I think I will be able to do this with circuits.
Using a 3d model this is what it will look like (See below). First I show the wall with big circles where people will choose occupations.
Several options of occupations will appear on the board and the person will put several options on the occupations he/she will be interested on working with.
People will also have a cube in their hand where the socioeconomic questions will be written. See the model in 3D made with Fusion 360.
Another idea is to use an area of small balls that will be on top of a person's head, so each ball that he/she hits will be an possible answer. A 3D model is shown below.
A 2D model of the sphere can be made with 123D Make. First you draw a sphere in 123D Design and then you send it to 123D Make to make some planes.
Notes about the programs:
Inkscape
1. Watch the tutorial in order to understand the icons of the program
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUIOEXssTSE
2. This program is almost like paint brush but you can clone figures and group them more easily
3. With this program I manage to design my survey made up of wood and a traffic light shown in the model of my final project
Autodesk 123D
1. In order to learn the basics about this program I watched the tutorial from YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVGXcqVHCaw
2. This program is not very friendly. It is easy to recognize how to make basic geometric figures with it but it was not easy for me to learn how to go from a 2D into a 3D figure.
3. I tried to copy a map from Mexico in Inkscape and save it as svg and then try to import it to 123D but I was not successful.
4. You can rotate your design in different angles which is pretty cool.
5. I still need to work more with this program.
