Hi, my name is Dintis Thomas and I am 47 years old, have 2 kids who keeps on teasing me on taking another course at this age even after working in the industry for more than 25 years! But young one is graciously supporting me in my Fab Academy adventure, which requires me to be away from home through the week and at times late evenings!

I am an Electronics & Communication engineer and have been into Industrial Automation and software application development for a long time. I am also into soft skill & image training. Most recently I am working as a visiting faculty to some of the engineering colleges to share my experience with young budding engineers!

Fab Academy to me is about exploring the new world of unlimited opportunities opened up with open source hardware and software. I look forward to a time where I am no more dependent multiple people to design and develop something!

At the age of 13, I started from footpath (when my parents passed away in an accident) and there were many people who extended a helping hand throughout my life. I am grateful to all of them and want to return something to the society back. So I envisage developing something which can be used by the masses in Agriculture and Heath care, which are technology driven, affordable and scalable! I am also looking forward to start working as a maker and start a maker space soon from my location and also build a mini Fab Lab….

In terms of my interests, I love Cooking, Travelling, Photography…..
