Computer Aided Design:

Fab-Academy, first 2 weeks, and it has already been already so mindblowing! This week, among many other things, I learned to better explored open source softwares. I tried many softwares but the ones worth mentioning, to me:
Inkscape and Gimp 2.0 as 2D, and OpenScad as 3D. I'm installing Ubuntu to try Antimony. I'm very excited to try it.

Then for the comercial 3D versions, we had a workshop about Rhino from nice McNeel's crew. I had the first version of our robotic_arm all designed in Rhino and it has been the software I have been using since long. Still, so many new things learned in this workshop.
The other software I dediced to give it a try was Solidworks. I had a demonstration around one year ago so I knew it could be something that could be helpful to my project. Parametrics <3!!

I started with the most basic tutorials and went on following step by step.Have a look on this one, I found it useful.
Here you can see my first results for the ulearn's robotic_arm.

I also installed Blender on my pc and started playing around, but I need more time on it and I focus a lot of energy on solidworks in order to get results I can use in the next steps, the next weeks. But is looks good, here there is a link for Blender.
