Computer Controlled Cutting
Creating a parameterized box with bumpy finger joints to achieve easy press fit. I used this OpenSCAD extenision. The heigt, length and width are parameters aswell as the numper of joints per edge. The design file is here. We are using an Epilog Zing 24 with a 30 watt laser. 3mm finnpappe needs 500 hz, 90% power and 100% speed. The kerf of the laser is lower than 0.9 mm.
To utilize the Silhouette Cameo venyl cutter, i took the silhoutte of my Dalek from the final project. I took the picture and used photoshop and inkscape to make the vectorized silhoutte. The Adobe Illustrator file can be found here.
