OBJECT DESIGN I used the InkScape Software 1.- Design you "Big" Object and export in .dxf format I designed a JAPAN CHAIR in Inkscape, considering the long and tall measurements of my legs. It has many benefits: Reduce muscle tension, Lumbar curve normal, reduce compresion, Balanced gravitational axis, muscles and weight sharing throughout the body. PROCESS You need design: 1. Support arms (2X2) 2. Chair seats (1) 3. Knee support (1) 4. Height mechanism (1X2) Create an axis for arms movements You need yours ouwn measurements for angle and height of your chair position Create press-fit between chair seats and support arms Create press-fit between knee support and arms support Create press- fit for Chair and knee seats For stability, you need add back supports Add a height variability arm Make a turning mechanism between arms and interior circle Test the complete mechanism design TEST CNC PRESS-FIT a.- You need make an object fot to adjust the measurements SHOBOT CNC 1.- Open VCarve Pro Software for simulate the cut. Obs 1: For square object, you need to use a circle at the corners Obs 2: In Some software, the vector objects are spliters. For join, use "join vectors". 2.- First inside cuts objects and second the outside cuts. Obs: Some pieces needs put screws 3. Select the correct mill. In case I used: 1. 1/4" Straigh (48-005) 2. Pass depht: 3.0 3. Stepover: 3.175 50% 4. Sindle Speed: 18000 5. Feed Rate: 3000 mm/s 6. Plunge Rate: 1000 mm/s 7. Cutting Dephts: 16mm Save job (.abp) and named it 4. Adjust the x, y, z axes 5. Start the job ASSEMBLE ERRORS 1.- First of all, I used MDF, and as I sat in the chair it broke. I think if solid wood is used, it will stay firm. 2.- Another problem was Junctions, the axis was very weak and broke it. You need to use stronger axis. 3.- More stability is needed at the foot of the chair. 4.- Be carefull the press-fit positions, I need move its. DOWNLOAD All files Download
