2D RASTER PHOTOSHOP Adobe Photoshop is a popular image editing software. I will learn how to get started, how to use the interface, and how to modify images with basic editing skills. Setting up your document correctly from the start will make your job much easier as you work through your project. This will require some advanced planning. For example, if your final output will be a brochure, you may need to set up your document to be horizontal and double-sided. To create a new document, click File / New. This will open the Document Setup dialog box. Page Size and Orientation You can Change the page size by typing in new values for width and height. Resolution Resolution is the number of pixels on a printed area of an image. The higher the resolution, the more pixels there are on the page, the better the quality of the image. However, high resolution increases the size of the file. The standard recommended resolution for printed images is 150-300, for Web images it is 72. Color Mode Choose a color mode that will best fit your project. When making a graphic for a web site, choose RGB. When making an image for print choose CMYK. Background Contents Choose the background: white, color or transparent. INTERFACE LAYOUT Menu Bar Menu bar, contains all the main functions of Photoshop, such as File, Edit, Image, Layer, Select, Filter, Analysis, 3D, View, Window, and Help. Toolbar Most of the major tools are located in the Toolbar for easy access. The Image The image will appear in its own window once you open a file. Image Name The name of any image that you open will be at the top of the image window as shown above. Palettes Palettes contain functions that help you monitor and modify images. By default, palettes are stacked together in groups. These are the palettes that are usually visible: Color, Adjustments and Layers. If none of the palettes are visible, go to Window in the Menu bar and choose the palettes you need. Design like a AutoCAD Software but it os free and Open Souce. TOOLS DOCKTABLE DIALOGS Inkscape implements Dockable Dialogs. With this feature, opened dialogs are placed inside the main Inkscape window on the right side as seen in the next figure. The docked dialogs can be rearranged, resized (if space permits), stacked, and iconified. To move a dialog, Left Mouse Drag in the dialog's title bar (and not the window manager's bar). Dialogs can also be dragged off of the main window into their own window. Each dialog can have its own window or they can be grouped in floating docks. Dialogs can be stacked, placed side-by-side, or tabbed depending on where they are dropped onto a dock. Drop a dialog on the left side and it will be placed on the left. Drop a dialog in the center and it will replace the current dialog, with both dialogs listed as tabs at the bottom. There is a visual indicator of where the dropped dialog will appear (under Windows it may be hard to see). Clicking the small triangle icon will iconize the dialog along the right edge of the main window. The program have many important tasks: 1. You can clone objects: It is important because You don't have change parametric measurements in each objects. You change in Master and change in all objects. 2. You can join objects and images: It is important for Laser machine (cut and rasterize). Create a rectangle, create small rectangles, join adside, in menu Path use Union option. 3. Stoke: Stroke style is important for cutting in laser machine (cut stroke=0.025mm). Laser machine reconize all lines with this value and cut it, if design have a line with fill, other stroke or an image, laser rasterize it. ILLUSTRATOR 3D AUTOCAD Autocad is a Software that use for 2D and 3D modeling. This is first steps in this program. You can use mouse for three movements: right botton fot axes X,Y,Z movement, left botton for select object, middle botton for move object position You can select area and extrude selected area with Extrude option in Edit menu You can drag volume with Sculpt tools and modify brush size. Pressing Control, you can generate opposite brush direction. Pressing Shift, The rough edges are softened.
