About me

My 7-year-old daughter said at school after meeting a Fab Lab: "Dad works in a place where they never get bored!", I think there is no better way to describe my experience at the Fab Lab Kä Träre.

As a computer programmer I have participated in many kinds of projects, from the most common such as accounting systems, product tracking, human resources, etc., to other not so frequent as genealogical record of horses, medical records and management of beach soccer championships.

However, and without belittling so many good people I knew, my work had never been as diverse, satisfying and enriching as what I do today in a Fab Lab.

Being able to certify myself at the Fab Academy is a privilege and a challenge that motivates me to continue doing my best. It is my desire to be able to share and apply the knowledge I acquire and in one way or another that my work serves to build a better world.

Fab Lab Kä Träre

The Fab Lab Kä Träre is a project of the Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED), in Costa Rica. In indigenous language Ngöbe, Kä Träre means "space to create" and our image is symbolized with a firefly. Currently, the Fab Lab is in the process of joining the Fab Foundation.
