week 1
Principles & Practices, Project Management.
Assignment:
* - Plan and sketch a potential final project.
* - Work through a git tutorial. Build a personal site in the class archive describing you and your final project.

Planning the final project . . .

I use GanttProject to make a Gantt chart to explain the times to make the different parts the project
This tool is great, easy to use and very funny. Now i am searching a repository to put the files of the project.

For this project, I planned to make a communication system that includes an emergency light and an antenna system to be able to communicate the gestating women to someone who also has a similar device.
Within the study of needs we have that the end user is a woman in gestation that is dedicated to the grazing away from its town.

In the brainstorming it is necessary that the shepherds need a system that can illuminate them at night in case of emergency.
In the search by internet could collect the ideas for the antenna that would be of the yagui type.
The delimitation of the project led me to think that the system should use batteries to be able to feed and charge through solar cells.
The case design I intend to accomplish using Autodesk Inventor. In the search for the best type of electronic circuitry I came to the conclusion that using RF is the best alternative.
For the design of the plates I do not know any software for this purpose yet. The assembly of plates and their test if they are aspects that I realized before.

I plan to build a prototype to do the respective tests. The manufacture of the case I plan to make using MDF, although I do not know the method of manufacture yet.

For molding and casting I intend to make the knobs of the appliance. Once this is done, I plan to build a twin device to perform the final communication tests. Finally I plan to present the project in the month of June.

Web Design . . .

First challenge: making our own code

Thats the first assignment, making a personal website using any html native or not editor.

. . . to code or not to code, thats the question . . .
Before Niels firts class, i discovery a lot of different tools between frameworks, text editors and html parsers.
So i reviewed some of them, and i choose an old tool to generate HTML in a wysywig ambience.
Using git to upload . . .

Second challenge: controlling version of files

I use git with the documentation page to create a repository of files. With my mentor i tried any probes to do it right, and before to travel to my home i presented a preview thats aproved by my mentor.
About my Final Project idea . . .

At final line seeing the dead line of this dream . . .

I live in the city of Huancayo, in the central highlands of my country and here we are at 3200 meters above sea level. Near the city, in the countryside the shepherds leave their houses and climb up to 4800 meters above sea level, to care for their herds and are housed in buildings called stays. They have no electricity, no cell phone, no way to communicate with each other to ask for help in case of emergency. Stays are several kilometers away.
For my final project I thought to create a device that helps them communicate with each other and also serves as a means of training and also gives them lighting at night. For this I have thought of a device that uses batteries, a shortwave radio system and solar cells to charge the batteries, which will also power its lighting system, low consumption.

So, i prefer use sketchup to do the drawings and sketches, and the idea is like this.
This device has batteries to operate and uses an exterior antenna to communicate with others devices like this.
The shepherds can move the device near to ear music at the day or night.
This device has batteries to operate and uses an exterior antenna to communicate with others devices like this.
And here i draw a block diagram to explain the final idea.
