WEEK 10

OUTPUT DEVICES

This week we were learning about output devices. I decided to play arround with a DC motor because my final project will most probably require this knowledge.

Due to lack of experience with electronics I decided to first replicate the example H-Bridge board from Neils class. The link to it is HERE.

I have downloaded traces and interior.

To program the bord I connected it to my USBtiny programmer. I have also made cabels to connect the motor to the board and the board to the battery.

To upload the program I used set of commends that are SIMILAR TO THIS except the board has no fuses (no crystal) so I skipped that part.

Alternatively, instead of using a battery, Bas recommended using DC POWER SUPPLY. It looks like this:

DESIGNING MY OWN BOARD

After sucessfully programing the example board I decided to make my own design. To this one I added crystal and another 2x2 pin. I started by confusing what is VCC and V.I have also used the 'bus wire' for too many things and it made the drawing confusing.

I corrected it:

TRACES AND CUT

The final traces and cut I finalised in Adobe Illustrator.
