Which tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?

Prototype for the PINK (Project Intravenous Notification Kit) is completed, with the following features

• Design and Fabrication of the electronics.

• Design and Manufacturing of the mechanical system using laser cut parts.

• Testing of the electronics.

• Assembling of all the hardware and setting up the electronics in the mechanical system.

• Development of The Android application using MIT App Inventor.

• Integration of hardware and software with no lag or delay.

• Used HC-05 Low energy Bluetooth device for the communication between my controller and my mobile phone.

• HC-05 uses a Serial Port Protocol, which is easy to use and is a transparent wireless connection setup.

Which questions needs to be resolved?

The following features I remained,

Improving the system using ESP8226 integrating with the in house WiFi.
Battery charging circuitry.
Wanted to make a casing using 3D printing or composite but remained

What will happen when?

I am planning to deploy a version of this project in the Somaiya Hospital initially, based on the feedback I will improvise and try deploying more kits and track the usage.

What have you learned?

I'm from electronics & Management Information Systems background. I wish to study more about scalable businesses by actually making / deploying products in realtime. One of my previous ideas was very well received on kickstarters, which has given my confidence to work on more challenging projects which can solve real problems.

I think this can accelerate the impact of improved patient care in India and all developing countries.

I also learnt a lot of soft skills along with the technicalities of project development. It was a great learning curve for me.
