What?

I want to create solar cooking device.

How?

It will concentrate sun light and heat on cooking pot.

What are the core components?

Light/heat generator:
Sun light and Parabolic mirror or Fresnel lens.

Thermo isolated chamber:
Black cooking pot.

Sun tracking system as inputs:
Four light sensors measuring sun location.

Moving system as outputs:
Two stepper mottors control X and Y axises, each one per axis.
They correct the position of the light concentrator.

What?

When the weather is calm and the sky is clean of clouds it is great to spend some time outside. Picnics are usually pleasant experience. Open air and spaces combines well with food and even stimulate the appetite.

How?

There are few methods for concentration of the sun light and heat. Parabolic mirror and Fresnel lens are the most effective in this case. Also there are different ways to follow the sun trajectory. With and without sensors and motors.

No overcooking.

Every maker should be able to adjust the model data to his/her own materials and machines sizes. Maximum flexibility for personal fabrication.
