Project Development

What is the deadline? And how much time do I have left?
My presentation is Wednesday, June 19, 2017 at 10 am. I have two weeks for the final presentation.

What tasks have been completed and what tasks are left?
I have the design defined and drawings in Autodesk Inventor ready.I already tested the mdf and tested the tolerances and corrected some measurements. The prototype is ready.I already have .stl files for media and peoples. I have to print the files. I still have to do tests of the mechanical part, design and program the lights and the application for the operation of go-kart.

What have you worked for?
Up to this point the following has worked. The design of the object as each part has a defined function. For example it was adapted the steel tubes to the wheels, also the mechanism of the rudder was made which allowed the turn to go kart. The engine system was adapted to the rear which can be seen in the video.

What hasn’t work?
For a budget issue was not achieved the go kart movement because the engine could not move the go kart, but the whole mechanism works well, if you had more budget would work 100%. As you work with pieces using material PLA of There is always a risk that it will break.

What questions need to be resolved?

• What would be the right motor with enough torque to move the Go- cart?
• What would be the necessary torque of the drill motor?
• How could the unit of measure of the encoder (rpm) be transformed at a standardized speed (m / S)?

What will happen when?
If all of the above questions were answered and a larger budget was available, it would be possible to get level 100% of result.

What have you learned?

• Basic electronics knowledge.
• Making plates.
• Basic programming
• Application creation and scheduling
• Knowledge of new machines like 3D printer, model, Shopbot, Laser Machine (Epilog)
