FAB ACADEMY 2017

How To Make (Almost) Anything

FINAL PROJECT

1 min.video presentation

project slide

The main goal of my project is to build a kinetic installation to control objects that create shapes. The idea is that they could be triggered with human interaction and change its shape depending where the person is.
The idea is to connect an array of servos that work with the inputs given by a movement sensor or kinect driven by python code, so it responds to human interactions with different movements.
There are some commercial projects out there that actually do this, but very expensive, with few documentation and non available resources.
Below you can find all the documentation about the process I have been through, and the main achievements so far, at the end of this FabAcademy 2017.

ABOUT ME

Hi! : )
I am Marc Conangla, a cheerful and happy guy from Barcelona. I love listening to music, travelling and eating nuts.
I am a product designer who thinks about design as a tool to innovate and improve our day-to-day, through the most daily and banal objects. Really interested on new technologies & digital fabrication, and how they are changing the way we live our lives. Passionate about digital platforms and computers.
