Applications and Implications

Week 17

Applications and Implications

Tasks

propose a final project that integrates the range of units covered, answering:

what will it do?

My project consists in an autonomous greenhouse for growing mushrooms inside, according to humidity and temperature ideal conditions

who's done what beforehand?

There are a few products in the market that already have the same purpose. The only diference is that this mushroom growing kit will be fully autonomous, with automated irrigation system, and will be available for many crops, besides the others that only allow 2.

what questions need to be answered?

How much is going to cost?
What are the final materials?
Will it produce mushrooms?
Will it be sustainable and autonomous?
Is there space in the market for this product?
UPDATE 06-07-2017
Total costs are being studied. I'm working with the CEO to define final material for the final product. Cogus Dome seems fully autonomous and sustainable for 2 weeks usage.

what is the schedule?

June
- Assemble the structure
- Buy the electronic components
- Test and program the electronics
- Build the package
- Documentation
- Final presentation preparation
UPDATE 06-07-2017
Schedule in progresse and updated.

how will it be evaluated?

- Will it produce mushrooms?
- Will the irrigation system work?
- Will the humidity and temperature monitor work?

- Will the greenhouse work? i'll try to answer these questions as long as i will advance in my final project
UPDATE 06-07-2017
Mushroom production will only be tested in November, Mushroom season.
The irrigation, ventilation and humidity and temperature systems work, everything seems to work fine!
