Build a personal site in the class archive describing you and your final project

Before,I did not building websites. After search,I use the template from Templated. All templates are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license. At the same time,I use Dreamweaver & Brackets to design and develop.

Work through a git tutorial

1.See here set up SSH key.

2.Clone from remote repository.

#git clone git@git.fabacademy.org:fabacademy2016/YOUR_LAB

3.Design and develop your page.

4.Get into your folder.(Note:folder delimiter "/" not "\")

#cd YOUR_LAB/students/YOUR_STUDENT_ID

5.Create new branch(Avoid master conflicts)

#git checkout -b YOUR_BRANCH_NAME
#git branch

7.Check modified files and add them.

#git status
#git add YOUR_MODIFIED_FILES
#git commit -m "YOUR_UPLOAD_NAME"

8.Push to GitLab(remote) your branch.

#git push origin YOUR_BRANCH_NAME_ON_REMOTE

9.Merge Requests( from "your branch" to "master")

Final project

Now, aquaponics system is very popular in Taiwan. I want to try do a set, but not too general, like monotonous boxes and hoses. I would like different configurations, good landscaping and some automatic control functions. Such as environmental sensors, It can automatically maintain the water, light, etc. what the plants need. This information should also monitor displayed, maybe show it on mobile device(like smartphone). I drew a sketch just the image as follows. It have pump, motor, culture tube, slide, pool, filter boxes,some sensors, microcontroller, plants and fish, etc. The entire framework structure may be produced by metal or wood.

  • Fab Academy

     The Fab Academy is a Digital Fabrication Program directed by Neil Gershenfeld of MIT's Center For Bits and Atoms and based on MIT's rapid prototyping course, MAS 863: How to Make (Almost) Anything. The Fab Academy began as an outreach project from the CBA, and has since spread to Fab Labsaround the world. The program provides advanced digital fabrication instruction for students through an unique, hands-on curriculum and access to technological tools and resources.

  • Fablab Tainan

     Fab Lab Tainan was founded at Dec. 2013 at Tainan, Taiwan. It is the first Fab Lab at Southern Taiwan. Supported by Tainan City Government, this Lab hope could open for local citizen. The background photo of web page is the roundabout in front of Tainan train station.

  • Who Am I

     I'm Jia-Hao Chang from Fablab Tainan.I'm senior staff of Association of Digital Culture, Taiwan (ADCT).In this years, I have participated the project of digital curriculum.My career is to empower people employing digital manufacturing technology or tools toimprove their problem.
