How to Make (almost) Anything

Week 02 Computer Aided Design
1. I have installed Gimp and Sketch Up.. And trying them out.. Not easy
2. Days later.. A new idea came to me.. from everyday things..
We all use shampoo (and on our birthdays, conditioner.. right , men?).. They are either pump type with the liquid out the top.. or the bottom-cap type (gravity)..
Personally I prefer the pump type.. It's just so cool.. Problem is you can't pump out the last bits.. Not a problem for bottom-cap type. What if I can combine both?
3. 14Feb - So I used the image to pay around in gimp. Gimp is so cool.. especially the image flip horizontally feature. Paintbrush did not have that.
Here is my gimp output file
4. I have installed Inkscape (it's free!) and Quartz (required) before that..
I tried to model my specially designed shampoo bottle using inkscape.
I know.. it's a bit crude.. but it's a start..
5. I signed up for TinkerCad.. it is an online/browser based software.. no installation needed!!
It is so cool.. the lessons are easy..
But when I tried to model my shampoo bottle, that's when my headaches began.. Not as easy as I thought!!

But it's a start.. I need more practice.. For week 2 this will have to do..

On to week 3 Computer controlled cutting..
