There are a lot of people who like Cosplay do something like that.
what materials and components will be required?
It will need to use a lot of 4mm MDF, 5mm Acrylic, to make the frame. A Distance sensor and led to make the Magazine. Also need some Iron ball, and magnet.
where will they come from?
Most of the materials can be obtained at our school factory. Other parts are all Handmade except the distance sensor, and the material can not be obtained from the school is purchased from Amazon.
how much will it cost?
About $100.
what parts and systems will be made?
A sensor magazine, a magnetic transmitter, the entire arm armor and the frame, and an acrylic shaft.
what processes will be used?
First, use the laser cutting machine and 3D printer to make the frame and the armor, and then paint them with spray. Making the required circuit board with SRM-20, and then welding the distance sensor and led.
what tasks need to be completed?
1. Need a lot of test to complete the distance sensor magazine.
2. Design a magnetic transmitter.
what questions need to be answered?
1. How to design a Arm Armor with beautiful shape and product by laser cutting machine.
2. How to ensure the maximum range of joint motion.
3. How to make small arms can rotate 180 degrees.
what is the schedule?
1. At the beginning of June to the end of May to complete the basic design.
2. Complete the framework and armor in the middle of June.
3. Complete all system before June the 18th, and finish the test.
4. Completed video and picture in June 19th.
how will it be evaluated?
In this final project, I learned how the use of laser cutting machine, 3D printer, milling machine, and how to write programs. Although there is no contact with my major, but I think it is very interesting. I often do the design in the computer before, but this is the first time, I turned it into a reality.
