2-1. Computer-aided design

In this week, I tried several softwares of 3D CAD, Rhinoceros+grasshopper, Fusion360, Sculptris, meshmixer, smoothie 3D.
Finally, I designed my idea with Rhinoceross+grasshopper and Sculptris.

2-2. 2D CAD design

　
　

In general, a puppet is made from patterns. It is not 3D but 2D. So I tried to make 3D model from 2D model. 　
This picture is the pattern designed with illustrator.

　

2-3. Parametric design Rhinoceros + grasshopper

Grasshopper is a plugin to Rhinoceros and parametric modeling tool.
I made a pattern generator of a personal puppet with it.


You can change the puppet size easily with changing these slider.


2-4. 3D Model

2-5. Sculptris

Sculptris is a virtual sculpting software. I like it because it can make 3D model like playing clay
tried to make the model smooth and flexible using it.
