On this week we must Track the progress of the project, difficulties encountered and possible trouble tolutions.
WHAT TASK HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND WUAT TASK REMAIN?
MECHANICAL:
The silencer worked pretty good, however I've seen a voice dispersion on the shell, I think partly due to the small hole that I've done to the shell from the filter.
ELECTRONICS:
The primary problem of electronics was the dimensions and surely derive from my inexperience. My purposes was for a more compact object, however this was a prototype, and next attempts surely will give a better result.
PROGRAMMING:
The programmation gave me a lot of troubles too. The sound was an hard way to walk in electronics (or that was for me). Surely the programmation can be refined to reach a better sound calibration but, for now, it worked better than I imagined.
WHAT HAS WORKED? WHAT HASN'T?
Electronics made me mad, I've seen a LOT of changements, calibration, programmations, to redo. Sometimes was a software problem, sometimes hardware problem, sometims just an human mistake. It stolen me an huge amount of time.
A trouble that I wanted to resolve was about a filter that can be opened to be cleaned, or just for a maintenance, so I thinked about it in two parts that can be jointed. After a lot of possibility thinked, I decided for a screwing joint on the mask, plus male and female holes, stucked with a rubber bands.
WHAT QUESTION NEED TO BE RESOLVED?
For sure I have to restyle the circuits to have the better space economy, than I have to do little adjustments, and make more tests to have a better sound isolation.
WHAT WILL HAPPEND WHEN?
In the future I will try to fix all the things that can be upgraded to come closer on the idea of my final project.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED?
EVERITHING. I started this academy without any knowledge about it. I used a lot of programs and materials, that gave me a lot of fuel to feed my mind with new ideas!
The hardest part (for me) of the academy was surely the electronic. I like it a lot (specially the soldering) however I repeat that was a really huge world to undestand completely with "few" times.
DEMAND VS SUPPLY-SIDE TIME MANAGEMENT
I always wanted to start with my final project construction soon as possible. However I've changed my final project during the academy, because I needed some time to understand correctly the purpouse of the academy, and my skills theoretically. I actively start on the eleventh week, thinking about a voice input and I finished on.. I think that I never finished, because my intenctions to upgrade my mask never stop until I do that!
SPIRAL DEVELOPMENT
I hope to seen next prototypes of this tool, more compact and made with more apropriate materials. On my imaginary I can see this tool in a lot of houses, a lot of my friends really wanted one of those!
