Invention, Intellectual property, and Income
Introduction
From the beginning of Fabacademy I wanted my project to be a product that would be distributed and used around the world, but I did have a clear idea of how to do that. After this lecture somehow I developed a primary plan to do that, I decided to answer the next four question to make this idea of commercializing this project
To patent or not to patent ?
At the beginning i was confused, specially that i don't have that much of knowledge about it.
But After what I heard from Dr.Neil at the lecture I decided not go this way specially that it cost a lot of money and it only works in a specific countries
Copyrighting?
I really like the idea of "Openscourse Community" as we as a startup and the community can work with each other to develop the product and fix it's problem for the sake of the great benefit.
Thats why I decided to go with creative common copy rights as it is easy to use and well spread through the community, not to mention that it is described by many languages.
I really like the idea of Crowd funding as it helps a lot in marketing and testing the need of the market for the product itself, but also I want to take advantage of the mentoring features of the incubator, so I decided to combine between both of them by by applying for incubation and after that to start my crowd funding campaign
