My culminating project is an automated fish feeder. My container is a press-fit container made of wood housing another inner press-fit container made from acrylic. My electronics are (1)a daughter board containing the necessary components of the light board and stepper motor boards, (2) and an arduino core board with female recepticals to plug my daughter board or any board I make into it. To test my stepper motor to drive my feed screw, I went back to Output Devices and programmed my arduino board with the unipolor stepper code (see below). Currently, the overall design of the machine works; and the connection between the feed screw and motor as well as the code works.
Made Electronics: Core Arduino and Daughter boards
3D printed feeder screw and holder for the feeder screw; parts of the conatainer that will hold the food and electronics
Here is the code for the arduino and feed screw
