Fab Lab Carnegie Science Center
Technical and Education Manager
Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Fab Lab Carnegie Science Center opened in August of 2015 as a new installation thanks to a generous grant from Chevron, and I was hired on as Fab Lab Manager. Since my first day, I have made it my priority to establish this lab as a regional leader in the STEM making community. Our mission is to "thoughtfully integrate STEM programming into authentic making experiences." We do this through plenty of outreach programming (we have a full mobile lab), teacher trainings, and onsite classes for students as well as the general public.

I am currently responsible for the developing programming, projects, and curriculums, representing Fab Lab CSC at outreach events, scheduling the lab and all its equipment and staff, lab budget, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, hiring and training staff, internally communicating programmitic information, designing and building museum projects, supervising staff and volunteers, teaching and leading workshops, and supervising all daily operations of the onsite lab.
