I am a Research Economist from Mexico specialized in Development Economics, Public Policy and Program Evaluation. The intersection between technology and development in areas like education, entrepreneurship and growth fascinate me. I am a co-founder of an NGO in Mexico, FAB! that tries to use technology to engage students into learning, specifically on topics related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Our curriculum is based on the developments by the Transformative Learning Technologies from Stanford. My partner Nancy Otero has been the expert on developing the curriculum in the classes in Mexico while I was more on the operative and evaluation part. Now I want to catch-up with these technologies. This is the main reason I am so interested in studying and learning the curriculum of The Fab Academy. Fabrication laboratories and learning through prototyping have captured my attention since Nancy Otero --my partner- and I started developing FAB! I studied at Stanford University a Ph.D. in Economics and at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) a B.A.in Economics and M.A in Economic Theory.
